Prayer feeds the soul; as blood is to the body, prayer is to the soul. It brings us closer to God.

Prayer is a conversation. God is talking to us. Don’t overthink it. Talk to Him. He’s listening (Psalms 139).

The same God who created the universe also chooses to call us His friends and children. This intimate relationship He initiates with us does not diminish His majesty. We should foster reverence for Him (Ecclesiastes 5:1-7).

Be sincere in prayer. If it feels devoid of relationship, then it’s not prayer. If it feels lifeless, then it’s not prayer. Prayer is the impulse to speak to God. Mean it (Matthew 6:1-18).

Have intercessory prayer. Pray for others. Jesus’ love flows through us so that our love will flow to others. If we care about it, Gods wants to hear about it (John 15:12-17).

Pray often. Pray without ceasing (as Paul would say). Don’t stop praying; God desires this type of direct contact with our hearts. Prayer is a meditation on our heart (Luke 18:1-8).
